Apex Massage Policies

*Facemasks are now optional. We will continue to have them at the front desk, if you wish to wear one or if you are showing minor signs of illness.

 If you are showing major signs of illness – you will be asked to pay for your session and leave.  Please cancel your session if you are sick.  We have voicemail that is checked regularly, so please leave a message no matter the time of day.

*NEW CLIENTS – Please fill out the Health History Form attachment that will come in your confirmation email.

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early for your appointment as the doors may be locked. You do not need to call, just approach the door between 5 minutes early and the time of your appointment and we will let you in.

  • If you have been sick in the past 24 hours, please cancel your appointment. If you feel like you may be coming down with something, even if you think it might be allergies, please cancel your appointment. DO NOT "see how you feel in the morning" and wait to call us. Cancel immediately.

Appointments

If for any reason you cannot arrive on time, the appointment will proceed and end as scheduled with full payment required. If scheduling allows, the full amount of time will be given. Please inform your therapist if you have to be somewhere immediately following your appointment, because some appointment times may extend the scheduled amount.

Cancellations

Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. If you miss an appointment and did not call to cancel or give ample notice of cancellation, you will be charged 100% of the value of the appointment time. We have voicemail that is checked regularly, so please leave a message no matter the time of day.

Gift Certificates

**If you have a gift certificate and do not show for your appointment, your credit card on file will be charged the full amount. Once you have signed off on the gift certificate, we will reimburse you.

Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule appointments. We do book up in advance and appointment availability is not guaranteed. If you have a gift certificate for a couples massage, we will still need a credit card to hold the appointment.

If you have lost your gift certificate, please give us a call. We can look it up for you and give you the gift certificate number to use for your appointment.

Refunds

We do not issue refunds for gift certificates or package purchases. We can transfer it to another person, if you do not wish to use it. We would just need to know the new recipients name to place in the log book.

Contraindications

Certain illnesses or conditions are contraindicated with massage. Through the information received from your health history form, your therapist will determine and discuss any reasons that massage may or may not be appropriate. If you are under the care of a regular medical doctor for any condition, please discuss with him/her if there are any contraindications for massage.

Confidentiality

Your sessions and files are held in strict confidence. Unless legally subpoenaed, this information will not be released without your written authorization.

Comfort

Our therapists use oil or lotion – if you have a preference for one or the other, please let us know before your appointment. Please inform your therapist during your session if there is anything that they can do to make your massage experience the best possible (if you are ever too cold or too warm/ if you would like more or less pressure).

If you have any allergies to oils, lotions, or scents, please let your therapist know before your session!
